Jadie’s Hedgehog Policy

 

     We do not and will not sell opposite sex pairs or babies for breeding. Breeding any pet hedgehog purchased from JQHO without prior written authorization can result in the surrender of said hedgehog back to JQHO and could result in legal action for JQHO to reacquire said hedgehog. We appreciate your understanding regarding our no breeder policy. By purchasing a hedgehog from JQHO you agree to BUYER (YOU) being LIABLE FOR UPHOLDING ANY AND ALL POLICIES and that you have read, understand and agree to our policies.

 

PEDIGREES ARE AVAILABLE FOR APPROVED BREEDERS ONLY FOR AN ADDITIONAL FEE. We enforce this rule to avoid back yard breeding, and falsification of our pedigrees.

 

Reserve / Hold Hedgehog

 

If you find a hedgehog you would like, and the status says available you can contact us, and we will place a temporary hold on said hedgehog after your $52 non-refundable deposit is received. Your $52 dollars minus $2 fee ($50) will go towards the final price of your hedgehog. This deposit will reserve/hold your chosen hedgehog. We will not do blanket deposits. Once your deposit is received, you will be contacted with a receipt and your hedgehog choice will be on reserve/hold pending the pick-up date. You will have 14 days after you are notified that the hedgehog is ready to go home with you to pick up your hedgehog before deposit will be forfeited and the status changed to available. Special markings and colors will cost more due to being uncommon. Availability and price will be on our web site.

 

If you are local, we encourage you to come and see the hedgehog and place your deposit. Hedgehog babies wean between 6-8 weeks. We ask that you make arrangements to take your new hedgehog baby home within 14 days of being notified they are ready to go home. Failure to do so may result in loss of deposit and purchase of your chosen baby. Also, if you miss your appointment and do not contact us through our email or by phone within 24 hours of the appointment, we will assume that you are no longer interested. The hedgehog will be made available, and your deposit will not be refunded. We care for our hedgehogs and babies, and if you do not have the same level of care, then you will forfeit, the hedgehog and all money paid.

 

Please have a habitat (cage), igloo or other shelter inside their habitat, a constant heat source (79 degrees), food, bedding, water bottle and other necessary items ready for your new arrival before picking them up

 

Hedgehog deposit $52.00 (Non-Refundable) We do understand things happen; please contact us special circumstances can be taken into consideration by us. Any and all decisions are ours to make and final. We do this in the best interest of our hedgehogs.

Surrender / Return of Hedgehogs

This is a lifelong commitment, and if you are not committed to the animal, you choose then please consider another breeder. These are living creatures, and we will not accept hedgehog return for cash refunds. Be sure you are making the proper decision when taking on the responsibility of another life.

If for any reason you can no longer care for your hedgehog, we ask that you contact us immediately, and surrender your hedgehog to JQHO. We will rescue with no questions asked. We take any surrenders of unwanted hedgehogs. Surrender means you will not get any money or compensation; we will not buy back. We take on the financial burden and rehabilitation of that hedgehog, we may re-home and charge a re-homing fee. Keep watching JQHO for any available Hedgehogs or please feel free to contact us.

JQHO reserves the right to refuse sale to anyone, for any reason.

We are available for support via email or phone. Our goal is that you have the best knowledge and positive experience with your hedgehog. Please do your research before adopting.

Any photos sent to, or shared with, JQHO, of any of our hedgehogs can be used by Jadie’s Hedgehogs (JQHO) publicly.

WE DO NOT SHIP!

We may agree to meet at an agreed upon location, starting point is Nellie, Ohio to meeting point for an additional fee of .50 cents per mile round trip, Google Maps will be used. We will meet 50 miles from Nellie, Ohio. Must cancel 24 hrs. before meet time a refund or forfeit transportation payment. Adult purchasing hedgehog must be present at pickup unless other arraignments are made in advance.

 

     Along with raising excellent pets, we take in local rehomes and rescues, offer hedgehog boarding services, and are active in the local and global hedgehog communities helping educate and offer support for other owners.

We only have a few litters a year due to our breeding practices, and number of adults in our program. We adhere to strict breeding practices to keep our herd strong and to continue to produce the best possible pet possible.
